L'Hôtel du Couvent is a hidden gem that encapsulates serenity amid stunning natural beauty. Upon arrival, Jean Paul, our gracious host, welcomed us warmly as we stepped into this beautifully renovated historic building. Our Chambre Double Supérieure avec Terrasse boasted restful bedding and a delightful private seating area, the perfect spot for quiet reflection after a long day exploring the nearby Gorges of the Ardèche. The infinity pool was an absolute highlight, providing a tranquil escape where we could unwind and soak in the captivating surroundings. Breakfast was a daily treat, featuring a sumptuous buffet that offered both hot and cold options; a suggestion for adding nuts would make it even more delightful. Our evening meals, enjoyed under the stars in the courtyard, were a real culinary pleasure, served by attentive staff who made each dining experience memorable. In this rural retreat, I found comfort and inspiration that appealed to both the weary traveler and the seeker of beauty. With its calm atmosphere and friendly hospitality, L'Hôtel du Couvent exceeded all expectations, leaving me yearning to return.
